The Best Non Alcoholic White Wine 2025

You asked for it...my list of the best non alcoholic white wines! Surprisingly (or perhaps, unsurprisingly), only 5 alcohol-free whites made this list for 2025. There are a few reasons for this, which I discuss below. In the 6 years I have been testing and reviewing wines, I have found the white category extremely difficult to get right...which makes the wines that did make the cut all the more special.

Although it's not quite as difficult as alcohol-free red wine to get right, there are still some winemakers who do it really well, and some who do it....if I'm being honest....terribly.

I think one of the main reasons this category is so tricky to get right is because of the lack of carbonation. Bubbles add texture and lift, helping to mask some of the body and mouthfeel lost when alcohol is removed. It takes real skill to create a good non-alcoholic white wine...which is why every wine below deserves to be celebrated!

Expert Tips and Tricks

Here are some quick tips to get started:

  1. Always check the label: some bottles labelled "wine" are really just fancy grape juice in disguise. A decent alcohol-free wine will have gone through the full winemaking process, with the alcohol gently removed at the end. Check the label for words like 'alcohol removed' or 'dealcoholized'...that's your sign it started as a real wine. If the ingredients show it's mostly unfermented grape juice....that's probably what it will taste like!
  2. To chill or not to chill: follow the wine makers recommendations when it comes to chilling. Some wine does best out of the fridge for a period of time prior to drinking. This can bring out the flavor in the wine and make for a better drinking experience.
  3. Check the sugar content: some non-alc whites can be quite sweet to balance out the lighter body. If you prefer a drier style (like me!), look for bottles around 4-5g sugar per 100ml or less. I'll highlight these in the comments below.

The Best Alcohol Free White Wine

Lets start with my favorites, which is the Giesen 0% Sauvignon Blanc....I would go so far as to say this is the best non-alcoholic Sauvignon Blanc on the market.

Giesen 0% Sauvignon Blanc

A hand holds a bottle of Giesen Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 0% beside a glass half-filled with the white wine, set on a light-colored surface.

Dry and crisp, this is everything you'd expect from a high quality Sauvignon Blanc. Pale yellow in color, this well balanced wine has a slight acidic finish and is low in sugar. If you're looking for a non-alcoholic dry white wine, this one is for you.
Note: as mentioned above, this wine is beautifully dry - exactly as a Sauvignon Blanc should be. Every now and then I will get a comment that it tastes a little 'sour' or 'like vinegar', but I suspect that's from those who aren't used to the vibrant, crisp profile of a classic Sauv Blanc. If you like a sweeter wine, try the Giesen or Leitz Riesling below.

Noughty Dealcoholized White Wine

A hand holds a bottle of Noughty alcohol-free white wine in front of a red brick wall. The wine bottle has a silver cap and a light gray label with modern design elements.

This is one of those whites that is super easy to sip. Great for pairing with food, it has a slight creaminess, is fruity and floral and has just enough sweet. As a bonus, it only has 3g of sugar per glass, making it one of the lower sugar white wines out there. This would be perfect in my white sangria mockail.

Lautus Savvy De-Alcoholised White Wine

A hand holds a bottle of Lautus De-Alcoholised Wine Savvy White in front of a red brick wall. The bottle has a light-colored label with black cursive and printed text.

This wine appears on almost all the 'best non-alcoholic white wine' lists and honestly, it's not hard to see why once you taste it. The Lautus is a Sauvignon Blanc inspired white, with grapes sourced from premium vineyards in South Africa. It's a lovely light wine that is easy to drink. With notes of tropical fruits and lime, it has a slightly dry finish and beautiful mouth feel. It's low sugar too! Be sure to try this one in my floral garden mocktail.

Leitz Eins-Zwei Zero Riesling

A plate of grilled chicken with chili, served with a colorful salad of cabbage, carrots, and herbs sits on a table next to a glass and bottle of white wine. The background shows a modern dining area.

It take a LOT to make my Dad say 'wow'...but this wine did! Dad worked in the wine industry for a long time and is extremely picky. To be honest I was never much of a Riesling drinker and would only share a bottle with my Dad now and then, so I figured he was the perfect person to test this with.

It's full of flavor, well balanced and has a nice clean finish. For those who think the Giesen Sauv Blanc is too 'sour' (a comment I get every now and then), try this one instead - you won't be disappointed.

Giesen 0% Riesling

A bottle of Giesen 0% Riesling, one of the best non alcoholic white wines, stands beside two tall glasses filled with ice, mint, lime slices, and straws. A plate with mint leaves and a cinnamon stick rests on the neutral background.

Yes I know, another Giesen wine. But let's face it, the folks over at Giesen know what they're doing when it comes to wine, and we love them for that!

I was always more of a Sauvignon Blanc drinker myself, but trust me when I tell you this is a delicious wine.

Refreshing and crisp, it does have a touch of sweetness, but has definitely not been overdone. Perfect with food or on its own - be sure to chill it prior to serving!
