Valentine's Day Mocktail

By Natalie Battaglia | Updated February 9, 2025

This gloriously pretty pink Valentine's Day mocktail has the perfect balance of juicy strawberry, floral rose and bubbly non-alcoholic rosรฉ. The ingredients can be prepared in advance so each mocktail takes less than a minute to make when serving AND it works well as a batch mocktail for guests.

Why you'll love this recipe

You'll love this Valentine's Day mocktail because:

  • The flavors are perfect for Valentine's Day: I don't know about you, but when I think of flavors and foods that are related to romance, both rose and strawberries are at the top of the list. This mocktail has the perfect balance of both.
  • You can make it in minutes: if you buy your own strawberry syrup or prepare it in advance, making this recipe is as simple as adding the ingredients to your glass and stirring, meaning it can be made in less than a minute.
  • It's a perfect batch mocktail: are you looking for something that can be served to a group? Once the ingredients are chilled, this can be assembled in just moments, making it the perfect non-alcoholic drink for your Valentine's or Galentine's Day celebrations.

Ingredients - what you need

  • Strawberry syrup: you have the choice of making your own strawberry simple syrup or buying it already made! For the low sugar lovers, I have a low sugar method too.
  • Rose water: I used store-bought rose water for my recipe but again, you can make your own if you wish. I love the look of this rosewater recipe.
  • Non-alcoholic rosรฉ or sparkling water (soda water): I prefer the alcohol-free rosรฉ for this recipe because it gives the recipe more of an adult feel, but sparkling water also works! I think a lemon sparkling water would also taste delicious. Don't forget to check out my recommendations for the best non-alcoholic rosรฉ too.
  • Edible pink glitter (optional): the edible glitter is completely optional but does give this Valentine's mocktail a fancy touch!
  • Strawberries too make a strawberry rose (optional): I LOVE strawberry roses because they are so easy yet very effective. See my strawberry rose tutorial here.

Equipment

The good news is you need minimal equipment to make this simple recipe! I recommend:

  • A glass with a gold rim if possible - there really is something about pink and gold together that screams Valentine's Day!
  • A sharp knife (if making the strawberry rose).
  • A jigger or measuring spoon-cup of some description to get the quantities just right.

Top with alcohol-free rosรฉ, then add the optional edible pink glitter.

Stir gently (don't disturb those bubbles too much), then add the optional strawberry rose to garnish your mocktail!

Expert tips and tricks

  • Make sure the ingredients are chilled prior to serving to avoid the ice melting and diluting the delicious strawberry rose flavor.
  • Your strawberry roses can be prepared in advance to make serving easier. I find it easiest to insert a skewer or cocktail pick into the top of the strawberry (where the green leaves are) and sitting them upright in a short glass (kind of like a bunch of flowers!) so the little strawberry petals don't get squashed is the best way to store them until you're ready to use them.
  • If you're using the edible glitter, be sure to give the drinks a good stir before serving or the glitter can sink to the bottom.

Notes
