  • Stunning seasonal color and packed with great flavor in every sip. Be sure to check out my other red mocktails too!
  • Mojito mocktails can be easily made right in the glass with no shaking required and less washing up.
  • Nourishing elements with the antioxidant rich pomegranate juice and hydrating mixer and the recipe can be made low sugar with a couple simple swaps.

Equipment Needed

  • Medium size glassware - a tall mojito style glass or a low larger tumbler both work
  • Something to measure - like a jigger or measuring spoons
  • Something to muddle - a regular muddler works great, but if you don't have one, the flat and hard will work, like the handle end of a wooden spoon or similar.

How to Make a Merry Mojito

  1. Muddle the wedge of lime in your glass to release the juices.
  2. Clap to mint in your hands to release the oils and add to the glass. If you're using sweetener, add it now. Muddle gently several times, but don't over muddle - this can cause bitterness.

  1. Fill your glass with ice and add the optional non-alcoholic rum/apple cider vinegar, then the pomegranate juice.
  2. Top with soda water, stir gently to combine and garnish.

Nats Tips & Tricks

  • Donโ€™t over muddle the mint. Over muddling releases a bitter taste in mint. Clapping the mint in your hands before placing it in your drink will ensure only the minty goodness you want.
  • Try to get organic pomegranate juice if you can. Itโ€™s rich in antioxidants and a gorgeous deep red color.
  • Use a low/no sugar sweetener for a low sugar option.

Instructions

  • Muddle the lime in your glass to release the juices. Clap the mint together in your hands and add it to the glass. If youโ€™re using a sweetener, add it now.
  • Fill your glass with ice and add the optional rum/ACV and the pomegranate juice. Top with soda water, stir gently, garnish with pomegranate arils and mint, then serve.

Batch Instructions

Use the toggle above in the recipe card to choose how many servings you'd like to make. This will automatically adjust the ingredient quantities so you know how much of each you need.ย To make the mocktail, muddle the lime in the bottom of your pitcher. Clap the mint leaves in your hands a few times and add to the pitcher with your optional sweetener. Add the optional rum/ACV, pomegranate juice and top with soda water. Add a few lime slices, mint sprigs and pomegranate arils to the pitcher. I don't recommend adding ice to the pitcher as this can cause dilution, but you can add a cup or two if you wish. My preferred method is to serve over ice. I also love creating a little garnish station with pomegranate arils, mint and lime so your guests can garnish their own drinks! Have fun!
