Mango Colada Mocktail

By Natalie Battaglia | Updated July 5, 2025

It's creamy, it's fruity, it's luscious, it's everything you'd expect from a mango colada mocktail...plus a surprise ingredient that takes this recipe to the next level. With the perfect balance of sweet mango, nutty coconut and tangy lime, this recipe is so good, you might find yourself choosing it over my classic piña colada mocktail - but I'll let you be the judge!

Why you'll love this recipe

There are so many reasons to love my virgin mango colada, such as:

  • It's quick and simple: as far as easy mocktails go, this is one of the best! Just blend all ingredients together and serve...it really is as easy as that.
  • It's nourishing: great news for those who love some nutritional benefits in their drinks! With ripe mango, electrolyte rich coconut water and the vitamin c in pineapple and lime juice, you're in for a mouthful of goodness with every delicious sip. Tip: try my coconut water mocktail if you have some left over!
  • You can easily scale it up for friends: Yes! I am hearing your requests for batch mocktails and you'll be happy to know this recipe can be made for a crowd in an instant.

Ingredients - what you need

With just a few ingredients you'll be sipping your way to tropical mocktail perfection in no time:

  • Frozen mango
  • Pineapple juice: choose a low sugar one if you can. You can replace this with extra coconut water if you wish.
  • Coconut water: again, choose a coconut water without added sugar - there is plenty of naturally occurring sugar in both mango, pineapple juice and coconut water! You can replace this with extra pineapple juice if you prefer.
  • Cream of coconut: you can replace this with coconut milk if you absolutely must, but I strongly recommend cream of coconut. If you have some left over, use it in my blue Hawaiian mocktail.
  • Lime juice: I usually say fresh is best, but you could definitely get away with bottled in this recipe if that's all you have.
  • Optional extras that I absolutely LOVE: unsweetened condensed milk. Condensed milk adds an extra layer of creaminess and richness to your mango colada mocktail, resulting in a silky texture. I also love adding a pinch of turmeric for it's earthy flavor, vibrant color and known nutritional benefits.

Experts tips and tricks

  • Looking for a more nourishing option? Replace the condensed milk and cream of coconut with a coconut yoghurt for a better-for-you option.
  • A coconut rim takes the presentation of this mango colada mocktail to the next level. You can use regular shredded coconut, or toast it like I have done here. To toast, simply spread some shredded coconut on a tray lined with parchment (baking) paper and bake at 350F/180C for about 6-8 minutes, checking every 2 minutes or so to make sure it doesn't burn.

Notes

Note 1: you can replace the cream of coconut with coconut milk if you wish, but I much prefer the cream of coconut.
Note 2: the unsweetened condensed milk is an optional ingredient, but I highly recommend it. It gives the drink a luscious, silky texture. If you're a sweet tooth, you might opt for a sweetened condensed milk.
Note 3: I love adding turmeric powder for it's nutritional value and the gorgeous yellow/orange color it gives! Completely optional.
Note 4: I love using pineapple fronds and lime wheels to garnish, but you do you! A coconut rim is super fun too. I used toasted coconut - see the Expert Tips section above to make your own at home in 5 minutes.
