A Christmas Mule Mocktail is the perfect addition to all your holiday festivities! This simple recipe can be made as a pomegranate or cranberry mule mocktail and is ready in minutes. With the option to make it for one or as a batch in a pitcher or punch bowl, this is fresh and festive take on the beloved classic that everyone can enjoy.

A glass mug filled with a red iced drink, garnished with pomegranate seeds, lime slices, and a sprig of mint, sits on a marble coaster. Red ornaments and pomegranate pieces are visible in the background.

This pomegranate or cranberry mocktail mule is a festive twist on a regular Moscow Mule Mocktail, perfect for any and all of your gatherings this holiday season. The second best thing about this recipe is how easy it is to make. You’ll know what the best thing is after the first sip.

Both cranberry and pomegranate pair perfectly with the ginger and lime, and either can be used to give your mule great color and flavor. And there’s no need for a shaker, the drink is built in the glass for less washing up. If you don't have Moscow Mule Mugs, a regular tumbler or even a wine glass would keep it fun and festive.

Why You’ll Love It

  • Easy: no need to shake, the drink is prepared in the glass. If you don't have moscow mule mugs, a tumbler or wine glass will work.
  • Delicious: a tasty twist on the classic non-alcoholic mule, and both cranberry and pomegranate can be used.
  • Festive: the deep red Christmassy color and warming ginger gives this merry mule mocktail a truly festive feel.

Equipment Needed

  • Moscow mule mugs: regular serving glasses with also work, I'd recommend a short tumbler.
  • Jigger: or something to measure like measuring spoons.
  • Something to stir: like a bar spoon or similar.

Ingredients

Pomegranate or cranberry juice: use 100% juice for bolder flavor and less sugar. If reconstituted juice is all you have, that's fine too.

Fresh lime juice: fresh is always best, but bottled also works...I know how expensive limes can be!

Ginger beer: regular ginger beer is fine. You could also use a lower sugar ginger beer or a ginger kombucha for a twist!

Tips & Tricks

  • Ingredient should be chilled prior to assembling to avoid dilution.
  • If you’re not using the non-alcoholic spirit I highly recommend the apple cider vinegar, it really takes it to the next level.
  • Cranberry or pomegranate ice cubes would be a fun addition in this.
