Ingredients

  • 1 oz cranberry juice (can sub with pomegranate juice or add a little more to taste)
  • 2 oz non-alcoholic aperitif, like Lyre's Italian Spirit (see Note 1 below for subs)
  • 4 oz non-alcoholic sparkling wine (sub with sparkling grape or apple juice)
  • Star anise, sugared rosemary or cranberries (optional garnishes)

Instructions

  • Add some ice to a spritz glass.
  • Add the cranberry juice, Italian Spritz and non-alcoholic sparkling wine. Stir gently.
  • Garnish with fresh cranberries, star anise and/or sugared rosemary and cranberries.

Notes

Note 1: a classic Spritz is usually made with bitter orange aperitif and this is what I recommend to get you closest to the real thing. Blood orange juice or grapefruit juice are also great subs if non-alcoholic spirits are not your thing.
