- 1 rosemary sprig
- 1 oz lemon juice
- 3 oz orange juice
- 2 oz apple cider or apple juice (see note 1)
- ¼ teaspoon apple cider vinegar (optional - see note 2)
- ⅓ cup kombucha or sparkling water (see note 3)
Add the rosemary and lemon juice to your shaker and muddle until the rosemary is crushed. Don't overdo it - a few gentle presses is fine.
Add the orange juice, apple juice, optional apple cider vinegar and a few cubes of ice. Replace the lid and shake well.
Add some ice to your glass and strain the mixture in. Top with your choice of mixer, stir and garnish.
Note 1: I prefer apple cider in this recipe, but apple juice works too! Try to get a cloudy apple juice if you can.
Note 2: this is an optional ingredient but I do love adding a little apple cider vinegar to mocktails. Vinegar is a by-product of alcohol, so it makes sense it can ‘somewhat’ replicate that bite that often goes missing when we remove alcohol from a drink.
Note 3: it's your call when it comes to the mixer, but I prefer kombucha for a probiotic hit. Citrus kombucha (think orange, lemon or lime) taste just delicious. I couldn't find apple kombucha where I am but I imagine that would also be incredible.
