Hibiscus Rose Mocktail

A low sugar, antioxidant rich mocktail that is easy to make and tastes delicious.

Ingredients

  • 3 oz chilled hibiscus tea (see note 1)
  • ½-1 teaspoon sweetener of choice (see note 2)
  • 1 oz orange juice
  • ¼ teaspoon rosewater
  • Top with sparkling water or non-alcoholic rosé

Instructions

  • Prepare your hibiscus tea according to packet instructions. Be sure to use double the amount of tea that is recommended on the packet. While the tea is still warm, add your sweetener of choice and stir. Set aside to chill.
  • Fill a wine glass with ice and add the hibiscus tea and orange juice.
  • Add the rose water, then top with sparkling water or alcohol-free rosé.
  • Stir gently and serve.

Notes

Note 1: For the hibiscus tea, be sure to use double the amount of tea that is recommended on the packet. This results in both a stronger flavor and a higher amount of antioxidants.
Note 2: I used monk fruit sweetener in this recipe because it is my preferred sweetener. You could use Stevia, honey, maple syrup or any other sweetener of your choice (be mindful this might alter the sugar count).

Feel free to comment below if you need help with this! Instead of using a glass, assemble the ingredients in a pitcher without ice. I prefer to put ice in the glasses rather than the pitcher, so the drink isn’t watered down.
When you’re ready to serve, fill the glasses with ice and serve your guests.
