Grinch Mocktail

A simple, gloriously green Grinch mocktail for Christmas. With green apple, cucumber, lemon and your choice of mixer, you can make this festive mocktail your way.

Cuisine: American

Ingredients

  • 3 oz apple cucumber juice (see note 1)
  • 1 oz lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon maple syrup (or your sweetener of choice)
  • 6 mint leaves
  • Your choice of mixer - I love non-alcoholic sparkling wine, ginger kombucha or ginger beer (see note 2)
  • Optional garnishes: cranberries, mint, lime wheel and/or a green apple and sugar rim

Instructions

  • Add the lemon juice to your shaker.
  • Clap the mint together in your hands to release the scent and oils, then add to the shaker along with the apple cucumber juice.
  • Add some ice to the shaker, replace the lid and shaker well for about 10-15 seconds.
  • Strain into a glass over ice and top with your choice of mixer. Stir, garnish and enjoy!

Notes

Note 1 green apple & cucumber juice: blend ½ diced apple and 2 inches cucumber with 4 tablespoons water, then strain. Add more water if you need to, to help facilitate blending.
Note 2 mixer: I personally love non-alcoholic sparkling in wine in this because it gives it more of an adult feel, but kombucha or ginger beer also work perfectly!
