This simple fig mocktail has a delicious combination of fresh fig, ginger, lemon and cinnamon and can be made in just a few minutes. It's a still mocktail for those who prefer their non-alcoholic drinks without bubbles!
½tablespoonfig jam(optional but does add a little extra flavor and mouthfeel)
1ozlemon juice
2ozapple cider
½tablespoongrated ginger
½ozcinnamon syrup(can sub with a pinch of cinnamon powder, see Note 1)
Instructions
Slice the fig in quarters then add it to your shaker along with the cinnamon syrup, fig jam and lemon juice.
Muddle until the fig is ‘mashed’. Around 15-20 presses should be adequate.
Add the ginger and apple cider, along with some ice. Replace the lid and shake well.
Strain into your glass and garnish with a piece of fig (optional).
Notes
Note 1 (cinnamon): you can use a pinch of cinnamon powder instead of the cinnamon syrup, but add a squeeze (about ½ oz) of maple syrup if you do this to make up the sweetness from the cinnamon syrup.
