Ingredients

  • 1 oz lime juice freshly squeezed or bottled
  • 1 oz grapefruit juice freshly squeezed or bottled
  • 1 oz orange juice freshly squeezed or bottled
  • 5 oz lime sparkling water see notes for alternatives
  • sweetener to taste
  • 1 oz alcohol free tequila optional - tastes great without!

Instructions

For Chilled

  • Place juices and sweetener (if using) in a small jug and mix well.
  • Pour into margarita glass and top with lime sparkling water.
  • Garnish with a lime wheel.

For Frozen

  • Place juices and sweetener (if using) in a small jug and mix well.
  • Freeze mixture into icecubes.
  • Place icecubes and lime sparkling water into a blender and blend well.
  • Pour into a margarita glass and garnish with a lime wheel.

Notes

  • The lime sparkling water can be replaced with Limeaid, or any other lemon or lime sparkling water,
  • If you are making the frozen virgin margarita, I find its best to make it in a larger quantity, as some blenders struggle to blend small amounts of ice. Make one for a friend too!
  • If you can't find grapefruit juice, replace this with extra lime juice instead. I just love the extra tang the grapefruit juice brings to this drink.
